Come with us high into the clouds as we explore the archaeological wonder of Machu Picchu.  Built by the Inca in the 15th and 16th centuries, this sacred site of religious, cultural, architectural and artistic importance was “lost” to the world for centuries.  We’ll use nearby Cuzco as our base to explore the area, including traditional markets, the fortress, other nearby historic sites, and of course, the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.  From there, we’ll ride the train through stunning landscapes to the unique floating islands of Los Uros.  Later, we fly off to Lima before exploring another other-worldly site on an Amazon tributary.  There we’ll find amazing flora and fauna, both land and water based.  This tour will certainly leave you filled with wonder and awe at every turn.

You are invited to join other “cousins” on a Mayflower-themed tour of England, on the 400th anniversary of the historic voyage, an event of global significance. The Mayflower Pilgrims’ principles of individual liberty and freedom first took root in the UK, were nurtured in the Netherlands and then flowered in America. Their values have since guided all modern democracies.

On the tour you’ll gain an understanding of the Pilgrims’ lives before they sailed by visiting the homes where they lived, the churches where they worshiped, and the jail in Boston where they were imprisoned. You will also see the ports of Southampton, Dartmouth, and also Plymouth, their final departure point. Vineyard covered landscapes dotted with half-timbered villages and baroque palaces, surrounded by snow-covered mountains set against an azure blue sky – these are the images that await you on this tour of the Alpine regions of Central Europe.  We’ll start with the quaint towns of Germany, Wurzburg and Rothenberg, where you’ll feel you’ve stepped back in time a few centuries.  Then, we’ll enjoy the sights of Salzburg in Austria, made famous by the “Sound of Music”.  We’ll continue back across the border to the wood-carvers town of Oberammergau. We’ll dip into Switzerland and Lichtenstein for some incredible sightseeing and shopping. These are the Alps at their best.  Our last days will be spent exploring the Black Forest, enjoying a cruise on the Rhine and visiting a castle keep. Come enjoy them with us.
