The highlight of the weekend will certainly be our participation in the Wreaths Across America Day.  We join thousands of participants to lay wreaths on each of the tombstones at Arlington National Cemetery. European Christmas Market December 1 - 11, 2014

 

Christmas Markets in Europe bring the magic of the holiday season to life. City centers are aglow with festive lights, as the scent of mulled wines and gingerbread fills the air. We encounter Christmas market in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a medieval walled city in Germany and home to one of Käthe Wohlfahrt's Christkindlmarkts. In Strasbourg, we explore a Christmas market (since 1570) and are introduced to the historic "La Petite Strasbourg" quarter. We drive throught the Black forest to Austria. Salzburg delights us with the Mirabel Gardens, Mozart's Birth House, and the grand cathedral. Our journey ends in Munich, with a trip to Weihenstephan Brewery, where monks started brewing their own beer over 1000 years ago.
