Come with us high into the clouds as we explore the archaeological wonder of Machu Picchu.  Built by the Inca in the 15th and 16th centuries, this sacred site of religious, cultural, architectural and artistic importance was “lost” to the world for centuries.  We’ll use nearby Cuzco as our base to explore the area, including traditional markets, the fortress, other nearby historic sites, and of course, the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.  From there, we’ll ride the train through stunning landscapes to the unique floating islands of Los Uros.  Later, we fly off to Lima before exploring another other-worldly site on an Amazon tributary.  There we’ll find amazing flora and fauna, both land and water based.  This tour will certainly leave you filled with wonder and awe at every turn.

The stunning waterfalls (including a black waterfall!) and the geysers of Iceland are a beauty that cannot be described and must be seen to be appreciated. The active geothermal valley of Haukadalur is a spectacular site. Expect to see wildlife including many species of birds, arctic foxes, and seals swimming in a lagoon. We will also be stopping at the Blue Lagoon, reputed for its healing powers. This tour combines nicely with Scotland.
