Are you a Mayflower Descendant? This tour is designed for you and your family and friends!

You are invited to join other “cousins” on a Mayflower-themed tour of England, on the 400th anniversary of the historic voyage, an event of global significance. The Mayflower Pilgrims’ principles of individual liberty and freedom first took root in the UK, were nurtured in the Netherlands and then flowered in America. Their values have since guided all modern democracies.

On the tour you’ll gain an understanding of the Pilgrims’ lives before they sailed by visiting the homes where they lived, the churches where they worshiped, and the jail in Boston where they were imprisoned. You will also see the ports of Southampton, Dartmouth, and also Plymouth, their final departure point. Other highlights include Stratford-upon-Avon, Windsor Castle, Lincoln Castle and Cathedral, and lunch in the Mayflower Pub in London – a favorite for the crew of the Mayflower.

USA: Mayflower Maritime Salute Tour

June 24 - 29, 2020 • Tour Code: MMS20

 

You are invited to commemorate the 400th anniversary of America’s founding story, on an in-depth tour of Plymouth and Cape Cod with expert guides. You will have a presentation from the New England Historic Genealogical Society, a traditional Thanksgiving meal, a tour of Plimoth Plantation and the opportunity to hear from Wampanoag guides.

This tour is designed around the Embarkation Festival, which pays tribute to the traditions, cuisine, and the music of not only the original settlers and Wampanoag people, but the diverse immigrants who followed and contributed to the fabric of American life. National and international in scope, invited dignitaries will include heads of state, celebrities, and students from around the world.

You are invited to explore the Netherlands – a land of stunning canals, windmills, flowers, cheese, bicycles, and a rich history. You’ll hear about the Mayflower Pilgrims’ time in Leiden, see where Anne Frank hid in the secret annex, visit Corrie Ten Boom’s home, tour a 17th century Protestant Church and the only floating flower market in the world. You will visit the Royal Delftware factory, learn how to make a treacle waffle, tour windmills, and tour the Biblical Museum.
