Women played important roles in the early Church, supporting the spread of Christianity in the face of Roman persecution. This tour examines some of the roles and important women of the time. We also go deep – as much as 65 feet deep – with underground tours of the catacombs and a very special Scavi tour under the Vatican. Roman sites include the Forum, Colosseum, ancient port and Appian Way. We join the pilgrims for a Papal Audience and the holy door at St. John Lateran.
