FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Ed-Ventures, Inc. and Classic Legacy Air New Television Series
ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA (July 20, 2009) Ed-Ventures, Inc. and Classic Legacy Productions announce the production of and clearance to air two new television series.
The first series is entitled, “Luther’s Germany: Yesterday and Today.” It takes the viewers to many of the sites central to Luther’s life and work. The series was produced to help set the stage for 2017, the 500th Anniversary of the posting of the 95 theses in Wittenberg, Germany. This event sparked the beginning of the Reformation. One of the exciting interviews is with Pastor Führer, the Leipzig pastor who led the prayer meetings and freedom march in the former East Germany, contributing to the fall of the Berlin Wall and a reunited Germany.
The second series explores the German state of Bavaria and features interviews with the director of the Oberammergau Passion Play as well as actors who have played key roles in the production. This series is entitled, “Bavarian Treasures, People, and Faith.” After previewing one episode, a travel agent remarked, “I didn’t know what the Oberammergau Passion Play was about. Now I can sell it!” The series includes Bavaria’s famous castles, the Passion Play, woodcarving, violin making, and much more.
To date AMG-TV has obtained clearance to air these series on more than 160 TV stations, covering nearly 75% of the U.S. television households. The series will also reach over 18 million subscribers on the Dish Network and Direct TV. These programs will launch in September with previews of the Oberammergau Passion Play episodes airing in August in some locations. Each series will have 13 episodes. Broadcast networks and locations can be downloaded here. (This clearance list is subject to change. Check back for future updates.) Check your local listings for specific air times.
Ed-Ventures was assisted with the development of the series by the German National Tourist Office and Bavarian Tourism Marketing.
The series will also be available on DVDs beginning this fall.
